Very interesting. Having thought about this a little, I find that it is possible to see an important truth in this for many areas of life, not just the church. We see this truth whenever we are dealing with a group of people who we judge as having lack of vision. I see this truth in the way that teenagers are prevented by their own "group culture" of jumping higher than the others. I see this truth in factories where one is taught not to do too much work and "spoil" things for the others. I see this truth in some form operating in all our lives, and any time we believe that we can not do certain things, any time we think that we can not shake certain problems in our lives. Thank God for people such as Einstein, the Wright brothers, Columbus, Martin Luther and all the other heroes of faith.
