Less than 2 days to go...

Hello everyone...

Less than 2 days to go!!! - thankyou everyone for your support and prayers - they are really appreciated!

We are very excited at the moment and can't wait to get to the destination that has been such a big focus for us all for soooo long!

There are 3 prayer points that we have for our trip - so if you could remember us in your prayers (if your into that sort of thing) that would be great.
  1. A safe trip - that nothing bad would happen to any of us - but that we would still be confronted and challenged by our surroundings
  2. clarification and confirmation - is Thailand to be a realistic goal for our future or are we to remain in Australia working in Noble Park.
  3. That we would be effective in the work that we are going to Thailand to do - ie teach English to the kids in the slum.

Thanks for that - and we hope to hear from you while we are in Thailand!!

Dear Peter & Naomi
Have no email for you, so possibly this way will work. We forwarded the following to Erica: It is Saturday morning and time to get you updated on things going on here in Melbourne (yesterday that is).
The day started with me taking Peter with wife and children to the airport. They are now in Thailand for 3 weeks. You possibly can get some information from Peter's blog site, www.dekkersjourney.blogspot.com
In the morning both Melanie & Rosalie were here showing of their new "Melly & Me" pattern cover. They were real happy with this. Both Kiki and Zag were a little sick and we had to clean some vomit from Sisi's room.
Around 11.00, mum got a follow up call from her Doctor who had the results from the blood tests, the Halter monitor (24 hours recording of ECG) and the Echocardiograph. Mum was told that she needed to see a Cardiologist as the number of ectopic beats and the slight enlargement of the Left Ventricle are a combination which needs further, specialist attention. As you can understand, she was very down for some time. She rang the Cardiologist and we can see him next Wednesday.
Kiki has had some very strange 'ticks' over the last few days and Melanie told us that now for the second time she was very strange after her sleep. It was as if she was not fully present and this lasted for an hour or so.
Melanie went home at around 12:30, but after 10 minutes we received a panic call, Kiki had a fit in the car and the ambulance was on the way. It is now Saturday 9:30 am, Mel is still in the Hospital and she just heard that she most likely suffered an epileptic seizure. Epilepsy comes in many forms and it will need a series of further investigations to determine the exact nature and cause of action. There is obviously plenty of points for prayer.
So you see, yesterday was certainly a very special day, it was also Kiki's 1st birthday.
Hope you are doing well yourself, please keep us up to date with your health as it is a subject of our prayer and we love to pray from a position of being "up to date".
